Awards & Recognition 2007 - Dr. James Pugh receives Proclamations from both the City of Orange and Senator Bill Campbell for 29 years of dedicated service to single women and children as Casa Teresa’s staff clinical psychologist. 2006 - Casa Teresa opens Transition II Apartment building expanding affordable housing and supportive services to single working mothers with children.  This growth is recognized by Mayor Mark Murphy with a proclamation from the City of Orange: 2006 – Assemblyman Todd Spitzer presents a Certificate of Recognition to Casa Teresa on October 8, 2006 with immense appreciation to Casa Teresa for exemplary work for single mothers and their babies to continue their education and succeed in the professional world. 2004 – Casa Teresa receives the BIA’s Golden Nugget Award in recognition for excellence and value in renovating Hannah’s House, Adoption Program. 2004 – Casa Teresa receives Certificates of Appreciation and Recognition from the City of Orange, the California State Assembly and the U.S. House of Representatives for the Hannah's House Adoption Program and the Casa Teresa Transition Program. 2001 – Casa Teresa receives commendation from the City of Orange for 25 years of service to the community. 2000 – Casa Teresa is awarded with a Certificate of Appreciation by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development in honor of 25 years of outstanding service to the community. 1999 – Casa Teresa receives the Disneyland Community Services Award for Social Community Service. 1999 – Casa Teresa is presented with the prestigious Register Award by the Orange County Register Charities. 1991 - Casa Teresa is declared the 428th Daily Point of Light of the Points of Light Foundation by former President George Bush.
